These chaps jus did a takeaway show, its one of my favorites that Vincent Moon has done. At the start they are attempting a French translation of ‘Awake My Soul’, it’s lovely.

A while back I posted a live performance these 2 kids did for Seatown’s KEXP. This is an official music video of one of those songs. I think it’s marvelous that in the current mainstream music scene, such incredible musician ship can be so featured and promoted by a major label that has other heavy hitters like My Morning Jacket, Gomez, Dawes, Ben Kweller. Kinda makes you hopeful. SMILE

Our first concert was a success! Thank you so much to RE:LIVE Thrift for hosting the event. Also a big THANKS to Robert DeLong and Keith Tutt II (and friends) for playing such awesome music, and all of you that donated items and came out to support us. The Head and The Heart have just released their first LP. They are building some great steam, KEXP summer series concert, touring with Fences, playing at some of the best venues up here in Seatown. Proud to see quality tunes coming out of Seatown. Distinct 3 part harmonies, old classic melody lines, with a back bone of percussive playing from the drums through the piano & guitar contributions. They are the liveliest shows you can go to, you won’t be able to resist clapping and stopping your feet with them. Hear more and see if they are coming to your town on their fall tour HERE

I got to see these chaps play live up in Seattle last year. Had a blast and they rocked it true. They just released this trailer as a teaser for their first official full length record coming out Aug. 27. If you are in LA on that date, show up at Spaceland for their release show. If you like The Kinks & The Zombies, then you’ll most likely be into the newly formed The Young Veins. This is my current favorite of theirs “change” captured live. Some vintage guitar sounds, tight 3 part harmonies, and nice change ups. Have a listen and get to know em more HERE
