paperwallet Giveaway!

You may remember us posting about the Mighty Wallet a while back. Well paperwallet is here to give you a few more options. Also made from Tyvek and 100% recyclable, the design of the wallet is different, and they have some eye-popping colors and up-and-coming guest artists from around the world to create some of their graphics. Remember that the Tyvek material is tear-resistant, has some elastic properties (to expand for all the credit card holders), and is water resistant. These wallets are also affordable (ranging from $9.99-$19.99) so if you want to switch designs, it leaves you with some cash to still put IN your wallet. The other cool thing that paperwallet does is that if you send in your old paperwallet to recycle, they will give you a 15% discount on your next one.

To help kick off this company, the good people at paperwallet have offered to give away wallets to 5 of our followers! All you have to do is visit their site www.paperwallet.com, pick out your favorite color or design, and leave your answer in a comment. Don’t forget to enter a valid email address because that’s how we’ll contact you. We will announce the winners in the comment section below once the giveaway ends. Good luck to you all! Contest is now over!

Giveaway ends September 30 @ 11:59 PST. Rules are subject to change without any prior notice. Contest is open to US and Canada residents only.

Life Box Giveaway

The Life Box was created by Paul Stamets. Within these packing boxes are made from recycled paper and printed on with soy-based inks. The boxes contain a wide variety of about 100 tree seeds that have mycorrhizal fungal spores. The reason for this is because, “The mycorrhizal fungi protect and nurture the young seedlings.” Life Box is appropriate for planting in the continental U.S. and Canada, and contains native species to regions within this area. How nicely could this earth flourish if all your packages came in one of these boxes!

When planting the Life Box, they do recommend reading their instructions on the website. According to estimates by Life Box, “We estimate that 1 tree in 100 will survive to 30 years. On average, a 30-year-old tree can sequester 1 ton of carbon.”

I contacted the company and through their generosity, they will be giving two of you a Life Box! All you have to do is visit their site (click here) and leave a comment on this post as to where you would plant the Life Box. Please pass the word! Good luck! The contest is now over.

Contest will end September 7, 2010 at 11:59PM PST. Winners will be picked at random. Rules are subject to change without any prior notice.

ecosystem

If you’re like me, sometimes your phone “memo pad” just isn’t enough. Last year I started carrying around different notebooks and such so that I always had something to write my notes on. A company called ecosystem was brought to my attention, and what they’re doing is really cool.

Here are the highlights of their products:

-All products are made right here in the USA.
-Each of their products are made from 100% post-consumer recycled material.
-You can customize the color, size, and what type of paper fills your notebook.
-They have add-on pocket inserts in case you need more pages to write on.
-Each notebook has a unique number that, once registered, tells you the origin of the materials in your book and if lost, can be listed to try and find it.

How cool is all of that? And to help kick off this product, we are giving 7 of our followers one of these books (it’s a surprise which one you can win). That’s right, ANOTHER GIVEAWAY! And this time there will be a total of 7 winners!

Here’s how to enter:

You must have a Facebook account and “Like” the ecosystem page (click here). Then find where Le Grand Cru posted on their wall and leave a comment under it. Contest is now over.

Contest will end June 13, 2010 @ 11:59 PST. Winner will be notified June 14 by email. Thanks again to our good friends at ecosystem! Good luck to you all!

(We got some questions as to whether this contest is open internationally. Our answer is “yes”, but international winners will have to pay for shipping)

BAGGU Giveaway

BAGGU has a very simple principle: that good design should be functional, beautiful, and affordable. Their main item is based upon the iconic plastic shopping bag. But because it’s reusable, it helps with keeping the environment clean. I feel that they are really affordable and that everyone should buy one. Plus, it doesn’t have a company logo, so you won’t make an awkward scene walking into one grocery store with a different grocery’s logo.

My sister did a giveaway on her blog (iartu), and that’s how I heard about this company. BAGGU also offer other things, so because each and everyone should already be deciding on which color BAGGU bag you’re about to purchase, our giveaway consists of their Backpack!

Here are the stats:
16″ high / 10″ wide / 5.5″ deep
Magnetic snap + buckle closure
Interior pocket
Adjustable shoulder straps
16oz recycled cotton canvas

Guess what? The good people at BAGGU are letting us give TWO backpacks away!

One RED, and one OLIVE.

All you need to do is visit their site by clicking here, and come back to this post leaving a comment on which one of the 36 BAGGU bag colors you would purchase to go along with the Backpack. Contest is now over.

The contest will end May 31, 2010 @ 11:59PM PST. Rules may change accordingly without any prior notice.
