Leaf Carving
Natural leaf carving is actual manual cutting and removal of a leaf’s surface to produce an art work on a leaf. The process of carving is performed by artists using tools to carefully remove the surface without cutting or removing the veins. The veins add detail into the subject matter of the carving.
The material or most common leaf used in leaf carving is the leaf of a Chinar tree. The Chinar tree is native to India, Pakistan and China. Chinar leaves have a close resemblance to maple leaves.

Jerod Gibson
Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of minimalist posters. Jerod Gibson adds one more element by putting memorable quotes within the artwork from each movie. If you’ve seen any of these movies, you’ll recognize each icon and the quotes are sure to make you remember what made these films so great.

Dalton Ghetti

For 25 yrs Dalton Ghetti has sculpted intricate shapes out of pencils using a sculpting knife, razor blade, and even a sewing needle. Another incredible fact to his craft is that he has made no profit on his mini masterpieces, he just gives em away to his pals. Whats more beautiful than craft and generosity coming together? Pat on the back son!
If you are near the New Britain Museum of American Art in Connecticut stop by and see all his works, it will be in full showing till Aug. 29
