NOBEL PEACE PRIZE

It was announced today that President Barack Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. He joins the ranks of Nelson Mandela, Albert Schweitzer, & Martin Luther King to say the least. The Presidents’ response in receiving the NPP:
“I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many transformative figures that have been honored by this prize,” he said. “I will accept this award as a call to action, a call for all nations to confront the challenges of the 21st century.“

Love it, and love you! Thanks for posting this!
I’m so proud of our president, who I definitely happily voted for!
MLK and Nelson Mandela risked or lost their lives for their cause. The average American didn’t even know who Obama was a few years ago. And then be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize after a few months in office. To even mention Obama’s name in the same sentence with other such “heroes” is embarrassing. What exactly has he accomplished to this point in his life to receive such an award? Being the first African-American President should not qualify.
